Fabrics for couch covering

Danza so kindly sent me to ReproDepot.com to look at fabric and I found some really nice stuff
This one is my favorite, but it may be too much for a couch covering? How can one tell? Supposedly the biggest flower is 6.5 inches wide. Seems ok. Thoughts? Anyone? Anyone?

I would personally love a polka dot couch, but somehow I think I might get objections to this? Maybe pillows with this fabric?

The problem with these is that they are not listed as ones best for covering couches. Here is one that is suggested for that use though...

It is $85.75 per 81 1/2 inch repeat though. Not sure I can't do better than that. But I'm just trying to get ideas at this point.

I like all of those fabrics. I don't think the polka dot fabric is a good choice for a couch, however. I think the scale of the dots are too small. I like the first fabric a lot and I think the third fabric is great, too. Obviously, you are wanting something bold and bright and these both fit that bill. If you are interested in the slipcover to last a long time I do think it is important to get heavier fabric. Couches get a lot of wear and tear, especially with pets in the house. Those are my thoughts for right now. I'm going to go back to the blog to look at the fabrics one more time.

Ok. More thoughts....I think the 3rd fabric is probably more classic and might be pleasing to the eye for a longer period of time. I also want to point out that there is a lot of white in both of those fabrics, especially the third, which could show stains easily. You might be comfortable with that much white, so that's ok. I know myself and wouldn't be able to handle seeing my chocolate stains on the couch, so it wouldn't be ok for me. But it's not my couch. Now I'm finished!
