Halloween Play!

Last night the Law and Drama Society put on a short Halloween play. Another student group, the OWLS, or Older Wiser Law Students, do a trick-or-treating event at the law school for the children of students, faculty, and staff. This year we did a 15 minute play as part of that event.

In the Trial of the Big Bad Wolf I played Little Red Riding Hood!

This is the Little Boy Who Cried Wolf, played by April. Yes, she's a lovely girl that did a hilarious imitation of a little wannabe gangsta boy. She had a fake grill made from a silver gum wrapper.



This is Granny Hood played by the brilliant Jen.



Here are the 3 Little Pigs. RJ, the dude, was hilarious. He has a southern twang anyway, and he played it up beautifully.


All in all, it was a success. I don't have a very good picture of the Big Bad Wolf, unfortunately. I did hear one parent on the way out saying that their child was freaked out by him. He used a wonderful wolfy voice that did startle me a couple of times, truth be told.

Anyway, it was great fun. The last time I did a kid's play I was a kid. It's fun to be goofy and over the top and feel like a kid again. And the kids were adorable. We had all ages - from babies dressed like flowers (so freaking cute) to kids old enough that they were somewhat annoyed with being there.
